I would like to say these were coincidences, but I highly doubt that. I'm guessing this video, as well as many videos like it, were made to scare people away from the voting polls. I think the video was also used to prevent future riots, I don't think I would start a riot if it meant my town would end up looking like this one. Media, in this instance, was used to quiet the people, I think.
